WINDOWS TREATMENT SPECIFICATION

Window treatments provide a functional and aesthetic element within a space and add to the finishing touches of the overall design. They also ‘dress the window’ to add softness to a room.

Some popular window covering options include lined and sheer curtains, shutters, roller and roman blinds. Each of these options has its own unique benefits and can be customised to meet specific needs and preferences.

Our Window Treatment Specification takes into considering the following:

  • The ideal treatment for each window in terms of sunlight control, privacy, sleeping requirements and energy efficiency.
  • The style of the room and the overall design aesthetic to be achieved.
  • Budget considerations.
  • Preferred materials, textures and colours.
  • Motorisation and built-in pelmets provision (if still possible)

Ideally, window treatments are decided early on, at floor plan stage, so the correct provisions are made for motorisation and built-in pelmets. Often, window treatments are thought about just before move-in day, however considering them as early as possible, can avoid costly oversights, time delays and ensure you can achieve your desired outcome.

If you are at floorplan stage with your project, our Virtual Window Treatment Plan is ideal. You’ll have your window treatments specified, and your builder will know what he needs to do too regarding electrics and pelmets.
