The dimensions of the second family room in this country home where long and narrow. The room was utilised for yoga, as a games rooms for the kids, and as a retreat for the adults in the evening.
The owners loved teal, which became the accent colour to bring the room alive. Lush flocked velvet curtains where made to add warmth in winter, but also to hide the fact the window was off centre.
The occasional chairs were re-upholstered in a modern striped fabric which was co-ordinated with a custom made ottoman with inbuilt storage for games inside, along with oversized floor cushions in co-ordinating fabrics, all adding to the overall theme, while also fulfilling the multi functional requirements of the space.
